Polyethylene is one of the raw materials used by bubble film machines (Air Bubble Film Machine) to produce bubble films. Polyethylene is one of the five synthetic resins, China is now the world's largest importer and second largest consumer of polyethylene. Polyethylene is mainly divided into high-density polyethylene (HDPE), low-density polyethylene (LDPE), linear low-density polyethylene (LLDPE) three categories.
LDPE is non-toxic, tasteless and odourless, with a density of 0.910-0.940g/cm3, it is polymerised under high pressure of 100-300MPa with oxygen or organic peroxides as catalysts, and is also known as high pressure polyethylene.
Low-density polyethylene is the lightest mass variety among polyethylene resins. Compared with high-density polyethylene, its crystallinity (55% ~ 65%) and softening point (90 ~ 100 ℃) is lower; it has good softness, extensibility, transparency, cold resistance and processability; its chemical stability is better, and it can resist acid, alkali and salt aqueous solutions; it has good electric insulation and permeability; low water absorption; easy to burn. It is softer in nature, with good extensibility, electric insulation, chemical stability, processing performance and low temperature resistance (can withstand -70℃).
LLDPE is non-toxic, tasteless and odourless, with a density between 0.915 and 0.935g/cm3, and is a copolymer of ethylene and a small amount of high-level α-olefins (e.g., butene-1, hexene-1, octene-1, tetramethylpentene-1, etc.) under the action of a catalyst and polymerised under high or low pressure. The molecular structure of conventional LLDPE is characterised by its linear backbone, with little or no long branched chains, but containing some short branched chains. The absence of long branched chains makes the polymer highly crystalline.
LLDPE compared with LDPE has the advantages of high strength, good toughness, rigidity, heat and cold resistance, but also has good resistance to environmental stress cracking, tear strength and other properties, and can be resistant to acids, alkalis, organic solvents and so on.
Low Density Polyethylene (LDPE) and Linear Low Density Polyethylene (LLDPE) are two common plastic materials that have a wide range of uses in various industries. Here are some of the industries and applications where LDPE and LLDPE can be used:
LDPE and LLDPE are commonly used in food packaging, such as plastic bags, cling film and packaging film. They offer excellent food safety and durability, protecting food from external contamination and moisture.
These materials are used in medical devices, medical packaging and disposable medical products as they are more resistant to chemicals and bacteria.
LDPE and LLDPE are used in the agricultural sector to make greenhouse coverings, mulch films, fishing nets and rubbish bags.
Both materials are used in the construction industry to make waterproof membranes, insulation, floor coverings and more.
LDPE and LLDPE can be used in various packaging materials, such as plastic bags, foam materials, bubble packaging and so on.
These two materials are commonly used in the manufacture of toys because of their high child safety requirements.
These materials are commonly used in rubbish bags, bin liners and waste rubbish bags.
LDPE and LLDPE are also used in the packaging and protection of electronic devices such as TVs, computers and mobile phones.
these materials play a key role in the packaging and preservation of chilled and frozen foods.
In short, LDPE and LLDPE are versatile plastic materials suitable for a wide range of industries and applications because of their excellent durability, mouldability and food safety. They play an important role in packaging, preservation, isolation, protection and construction.
